Our Product
and Performance Engineering Group is responsible for all performance
research and product development projects being carried out
at BRENCO. To improve the railroad industry's
overall performance, BRENCO's Product and Performance
Engineers work with suppliers and customers to develop and
then test new products to ensure optimum performance of the
Freight Car Roller Bearing. Our Product Engineers work
to continually enhance our product offerings by conceptualizing
new ideas and then producing the documentation to support their
creation and manufacture. They are currently working
to expand the "Generation 2000" family of bearings as well
as grow our metric size offerings, one such recent project
was the design of a bearing for the Russian market.
They
recently completed work on the "Ausbrid by BRENCO" bearing,
developed to answer the Australian railroad market 's unique
service demands. Working with suppliers such as
Mobil and Shell, BRENCO's Performance Engineers
are developing new, higher performance greases to combat
the varied conditions and extreme service environments experienced
on the railroads today. Performance engineers
work in conjunction with our Service Engineers to perform
evaluations of product being removed from the field and in
this way can make recommendations to our customers identifying
bearing packages which will best serve that customer's specific
operational needs. There research efforts are extensive in
trying to enhance the bearings' function, extend its useful
life, keep costs down, and meet our customers unique requirements. |
